Top 3 Reasons to Outsource Your Social Media Marketing

Top 3 Reasons to Outsource Your Social Media Marketing

If you find that you are running out of time scheduling your post, and you are wanting to maintain your lane in your business genius zone, this may be an excellent opportunity to outsource to a social media marketing company that will market your brand values, messaging, and branded images to your audience on your behalf.

Still not convinced that outsourcing your social media marketing is right for you? On the fence about the cost of bringing in an experienced social media team? We hear you. This is a big leap for your small business.

Here are our favorite three reasons to outsource your social media marketing:

Brand Storytelling on Social Media

Anyone can throw together an image for social media, but not everyone understands how to optimize a social media post to make an impact with your audience. That marketing intern that is still in school? They probably have no idea how to execute a post that tells your brand’s story in a meaningful and engaging way. The real secret to getting engagement with your content is brand storytelling. This skill often doesn’t come naturally to small business owners but it is a benefit of hiring an experienced social media company to handle your social media posts.

Do What You Love

One of the strongest arguments we have for outsourcing this work is that you didn’t start your business to spend hours and hours on social media trying to figure out how to optimize your presence and produce results. We love what we do here at the Social Media Advisor. Social media marketing is our passion.

This is a win-win situation. You do more of what you love and so do we.

Consistency Without Frustration

If you are sick and tired of stressing out about what to post or feeling tied to your device each day, bring in a qualified team to keep you consistent and in front of your audience. The best part? Outsourcing doesn’t mean you have to abandon posting on social media for your business. It just means you get to let go of the stress of having to be present and on point all the time.

In our two decades of social media marketing work, we have found a sweet spot in brand storytelling and are able to learn your company’s language quickly through the optimization process and editorial calendar development. We have flexible and affordable options for you to maintain visibility on social media for your business.

If you are using social media yourself, you may have noticed that you engage with pages that share content you can relate with. Simply posting is not enough. You need engaging content that is easy to find and interesting enough to like, comment, or share. Are you ready to define your story and build a long term relationship with a loyal audience? Let’s do a Discovery Session to see which of our programs best fit your social media marketing needs.

Top 3 Reasons to Ramp Up Social Media in the Summer

Top 3 Reasons to Ramp Up Social Media in the Summer

After decades of working with small business owners and coaches, we’ve found that many companies experience a dip in income once or twice a year. This can vary depending on the industry, location, and business but tends to occur in either the summer or winter months.

However, this is not the time to abandon your social media marketing efforts! Everyone may ‘be on vacation’ but there are some solid reasons to keep at it this time of year. Here are our top 3 reasons to ramp up your social media marketing in the warmer months.

Planning Today, Impact Tomorrow

There’s a valuable piece of business advice that makes the rounds in many of the networking groups I’ve been a part of and that is: what you do today is not likely to produce results until three months from today. That means you need to be thinking about your slow seasons way in advance. You’ll have to give yourself enough time to plan and create content that you can share three months before you expect that annual dip. If you procrastinate on this, and then try to throw something together at the last minute, you’ll often be disappointed in the result of your efforts.

Experimentation

If you are truly slow in summer, this could be a great season to test out content that you may have hesitated to post during your other launches or campaigns. Your slow season is an excellent opportunity to take some small risks, try something new, and get creative with finding new people and engaging your current audience.

Keep the Money Flowing

We’ve found that our clients that commit to social media marketing, even in slower seasons, find that they no longer experience a dip in income potential. Most of our clients have found that they no longer experience slow seasons and business is consistent throughout the year if they create and execute a social media strategy. We assist them in developing strategies around boosting posts and investing in paid ads to target new audiences while keeping an eye on specific outcomes and goals so that the business continues to grow all year long.

By posting consistently with a themed editorial calendar, busineses are able to strategically plan for those “slower” months so that the messaging isn’t only relevant to the season, but relevant to what they can plan for in the upcoming months.

If you are using social media yourself, you may have noticed that you engage with pages that share content you can relate with. Simply posting is not enough. You need engaging content that is easy to find and interesting enough to like, comment, or share. Are you ready to define your story and build a long term relationship with a loyal audience? Using Social Media to Stay Busy in "Slower Seasons"

Using Social Media to Stay Busy in “Slower Seasons”

Depending on your business and industry, you may experience slow seasons throughout the year. For many B2B companies, the summer months are slower because potential clients are focused on getting outside, adventuring, and going on vacation. Perhaps, your company grinds to a halt after the new year or during the holiday season?

Each business will experience their peaks and valleys throughout the year. The key is to understand when your slow seasons will happen and to plan for boosting your possible business during these times.

Save Your Best Ideas

Whether it’s a contest, giveaway, large promotion, juicy discount, or simply the best content you’ve created all year, consider saving all those attractive social media posts for your slow season.

You can still run promotions throughout the rest of the year but see if you can draw in clients or customers during your quietest time of year by saving the absolute best content for that time period.

Prep a Video Campaign

Really want to get your audience’s attention? Design and develop a video marketing campaign. This tip is especially good for any small biz owners who haven’t taken the plunge into video marketing yet. If you haven’t put yourself out there yet, that’s sure to get the attention of your audience during slow times!

Social Advertising

If you find that you, typically, don’t need to invest in advertising to keep the dollars rolling in, you may not see the opportunity in creating and scheduling social media ads during the slow months to give your biz a boost. Plan for online and off-line advertising costs and build those into your marketing budget each year. This could be just the thing to save your bacon when things get slow and increase your bottom line for the year.

By intentionally posting videos and running ads during slower months, you can easily support the efforts you are doing through the use of newsletters, phone calls, handwritten notes, and attending networking events. If you are finding yourself slower, plan to increase your knee to knee activity by having virtual or in person meetings with more people and share your experiences with that meeting online.

If you are using social media yourself, you may have noticed that you engage with pages that share content you can relate with. Simply posting is not enough. You need engaging content that is easy to find and interesting enough to like, comment, or share. Are you ready to define your story and build a long term relationship with a loyal audience? Don't Know What to Post on Social Media?

Don’t Know What to Post on Social Media?

Have you ever found yourself in the mental space of, “Geex, it is 1:00 pm and it has been 3 weeks since I have posted anything on social media and I have no idea what to share?” Why is it so hard to come up with content for your social media channels?

A big part of the problem is that small business owners are trying to create content to sell their product, service, or event without considering their audience. Your social media marketing should be focused on building an audience of like-minded individuals and providing them value every week so they begin to know, like, and trust you enough to want to work with you.

There’s a simplicity behind what to share on social media that many biz owners overlook. It’s as simple as creating content and social media posts where you spend time sharing your values, your ideas, and your best tips with people interested in the problem you solve.

The best advice we can give you right now is… create an editorial calendar. No more feeling uninspired or stuck when it comes to what to post next. Building an editorial calendar will help you get ahead of creating your content.

Don’t be that brand that feels scattered and all over the place! Picking a theme for each day will help you keep your values and topics in clear focus. Selecting weekly and monthly themes will help you stay on track towards your goals and ensure you stay relevant throughout all the seasons of the year.

If building your editorial calendar sounds confusing, frustrating, overwhelming, or downright scary, no worries. That is what we help you do in our Strategy Roadmaps or when you sign up for Monthly Posting Support.

If you are using social media yourself, you may have noticed that you engage with pages that share content you can relate with. Simply posting is not enough. You need engaging content that is easy to find and interesting enough to like, comment, or share. Are you ready to define your story and build a long term relationship with a loyal audience?
